It's, probably, the book #1 for advanced beginners and weak amateurs. It covers endings (first), tactics (second), and opening play (at last). The final part has some not very complicated games with the detailed explanations of Siegbert Tarrasch (he was called "the instructor of chess world" and had real literary talent). Remember and use wise advices of one of real chess philosophers, study his examples - they are very typical and important.

Some sections are of interest for strong amateurs, as interpret the complex questions of chess philosophy. There are no difficult variants, but reader can find a lot of useful ideas of general type. The most famous and esteemed work of Emanuel Lasker.

More than 500 samples. This book of Robert Fisher teaches the most trivial tricks in tactics (mates first of all). The most of examples gives an aesthetic effect. Probably, the favorite chess book of kids. The book for raw beginners.
